A small reward to congratulate myself for my first permanent job!!! :p My long awaited, really long awaited, WHITE iphone!!! 16GB is really more than enough otherwise i would think that 32GB would cause some error here and there or possibly "hang"!!! which i really hate... so NOW... is to go japan to look for nice pouches for my iphone and my kroean electronic dictionary *o* oh... my iphonie is coming on this friday! yupz a new phone on the trip to JAPAN!!!!

P.S. oh then wat about my 10months old itouch? well, my bro would be most willing to gain the ownership. haha

[Book Summary] Twenties Girl - Sophie Kinsella

Then she introduces another primary character who counteracts today's modernism: the vintage bohemian spirit that belongs to Sadie.The clashing eras at the beginning of the story combine into a learning experience by the end.

On a deeper level, Kinsella's gift for storytelling prevails. During their humorous bickering on fashion, lifestyle, and mannerisms (a hilarious scenario when Sadie forces Lara to go on a date for her), the one thing that the two characters share is their vulnerability towards human affection. Each has had a heart-wrenching tale of love from their pasts, but it is this classic emotion that catapults each girl from their respective eras and ties them together like a Ying and Yang spectacle. Kinsella's ability to express the importance of human love and timeless joy on the written page is uplifting, resulting in a great novel of escape.

Despite early plot holes, Twenties Girl ultimately reveals something of worth. Kinsella fans won't be disappointed with the outcome. The author has taken a piece of metaphysical content and twisted it with her natural Kinsella charisma, all the while making you feel at ease after finishing the last sentence.

Not to hate someone

Seriously i have no idea where i heard this from but i realise that really helps me not to not like someone or even hate someone. Here goes... (no throwing of stones whatever ah! becoz think twice urself that what i will say, make sense)

In what circumstances that u do not like someone? Like previously i really dun like this gal from my sec sch class and indeed as though the gals from my class really thought that way. Basically she was the main attraction in the class. I have no idea why she gain the popularity of the boys but not the gals but one thing for sure was that we anti-her. Come to think of it, i think why we don't like her goes down to the point that we are in some way jealous. Right - J E A L O U S. Jealous of her gaining the attention all the point. Don't you realise ppl who gain fame despite having so many fans, at the same time they attract anti-fans.

It's really true for me when i scrutinize every situation where my 'don't-like-you' mentality starts to arise. I realise there is always something which i was jealous of the person of, particularly gals. Yup, jealous the good points which i dun have, which is so many :(

Of coz, we do not like some weirdos which really deserve to be hated due to the way they behave etc, so i guess those are unavoidable? *shruggs* But after thinking twice every time i start to have the feeling of don't-like-you', i will always think do i have something which i am jealous of her. Then the thought of don't-like-you' got erased, inclusive of the person *oops* In other words , i forget about the whole person totally.

Actually to not like someone or hate someone puts deeper impression of him or her on you than u like someone. So why waste ur precious brain cells on something or someone that u have anti-feeling about? might as well revert it back to something or someone u like or u totally forgotten. In any case, humans tend to forget good memories faster than bad ones (scientifically proven) So no hating okay?

An F1 experience

thanks to our dear linyan i got quite a good view the the preliminary round of F1 this year. guess where am i? at the open sports hall above marina square, in other words the track runs right beneath us! despite the really thundering sound of the racing wheels, our disposable ear plugs put into good use for us to enjoy the race. BUT if i get the chance to watch it next year again, i wan to watch it at the stand!! even better at the starting line! GOSH~! that will be 1000 over bucks. crazy~! i shall dream on hehe *o*

What do u do AFTER singing Mayday songs?

Eat of COZ!!! Ok, i'm not the impressive one. The 2 gals there sang 2hrs of Mayday songs b4 i joined them. Seriously singing their songs is really no joke! getting breathless and losing our voices are understatements, BUT! we definitely enjoyed much hehe.

To the food at Ma Maison. Well was not bad. mine was small lah with a abt 8cm by 5cm salmon with some vegetable here and there. comparing to the beef patty our dear gals eat is really 'small bird meet big house! 小巫见大巫！Likely got fries for appetitzer hehe. oh! the desert is great! the chessecake was very hard though, have to let it melt a little; then wat abt the yellow thing in that chinese teacup? actually that is the caramel pudding. although i dun really like caramel, but surpringly it tasted ok, more of a bitter taste at first bite but after that the aroma stays within ur mouth. anyway i'm not a great fan of those 2 deserts ^^

Since she was 4 months to now 15 months... OMG!!! u have changed!!! *O*

How's work? Ok loh...

Right that’s the phrase man! Though it is super desk bounded, my colleagues are really nice people, and the workload is fine since I get the chance to do quite a ‘hyper market’.

So what do I really do actually? Do pricing lah. Talk to traders, brokers, producers, end-users to get the market trends and the prices AND report them into daily and weekly reports. It is fun at times when the market moves very fast, but sometimes it felt frustrating because I felt that I’m lagging behind. Or put it in a slightly negative way, as though I am begging for information. BUT! We get to go for conference lah, functions lah to meet more more people, BUT! I still feel really stupid in this field. YES I’m still a newbie… sian~ BUT again! I’m only 4 months contract and 2.5 months to go… which means I might not be working here in the future, unless a position is available here. Sad…

How do I feel about the job? Hmmm… to work here for the moment is fine, at least I get to learn more things, otherwise I really think 4 months of learning is too little. The market is so big! Aiya shall try to get some hints from the boss, at least to make myself be prepared for the next step. I dun wan to be out of job… just my tuitions are too boring lah hehe despite I can earn as much. BUT! I’m still young right? So I should be mingling with people of my age and not facing my those so super adorable students. Hahaha!!!

What next? What next? 走一步算一步吧。。。*stone*

More thoughts

True in fact that some of my frenz just realised that I have returned from Germany. Haha~ imagine I was back since Feb. That is why I really got a good nagging session from them. And yes! For now I’m in Singapore, unless my current job dun turn out well. Hmmm…

Met Audrey and huifang for dinner at Tampines 1 Manpuku Jap gourmet town. Although I received so many ‘anti’ comments from others, we still headed there. Anyway experience mah hehe. But ok lah the food was reasonable. Obviously we ate the ice-cream which I forget the name again! Damn! It looked like a sundae though with cornflakes, whipcream, red beans, peach and of coz the green tea ice-cream. Guess wat happened, I didn’t like the red beans so I asked to omit that. When is audrey’s turn, she didn’t want to omit anything BUT when was huifang’s turn we then realised all three of us dun wan whip cream! So funny. Anyway the ice-cream was satisfying. *yummy* shall get more dosages when we are in Japan.

It was really great to see Audrey of coz and then knew that she and Kelvin already applied their flat at punggol. Ying and ziqiang too had applied theirs too. Woah stress! Charmine even got ROM already. This is the age man~ where we start to hear such plans. Lots of hongbaos to give liao unless I go overseas to hide hehe. BUT I really feel happy for them! They had been together for so long liao. It was natural for them to apply for flat, ROM etc. *o*

AH! Of coz the topic din start off with that… of coz was about the honours cling since I was the one who went out with them on mon… gossips (shhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!)

I dunno how we tok abt that, but our topic change to cancer, seriously is there eye cancer? Well, google is ur best fren ^o^

Now there is seriously the world we are living in is really very scary! So many chemicals we are taking in are carcinogens despite we do not have the first intention to consume though. Imagine us doing wet lab back in Uni, the chemicals we were encountering with are the really harsh ones, BUT *touch wood* we did not get infected with such lethal killers. However, just recently my old fren from jc passed away due to leukaemia relapse. What was the cause of this leukaemia? Nobody knew. Or infect nobody really knows the cause of cancer. We can only try our best to avoid those chemicals, but still this is the safest way.

What conclusion we had from the conversation? Life is short! Live happily! U hear me, people?!?!?!?!

Off again…

Though is a bit late, our dear wansi is now at France again. At least a year that we will not be able to see her, unless we go visit her… hmmm… maybe is a good idea *oops*

It was nice though to meet up with her last mon with the rest, who had come at different intervals. Imagine, met jiesi, cheekoon (in army uniform!!!! Omg…) and wansi first at 6pm. Followed by 7+, we met up with suresh and Justin. And then 8+, jack came. Haha… wansi and jiesi were saying how many stops of food places had they been to for just that day. BUT! I’m sure, wansi was glad; at least she got to see many of us before she flew to France on last Thursday.

Personally, I realised that the lot of us seemed not as close as before. Dunno for them, but applies to me. Dunno leh~ I can’t seem to find topics to talk about. This is bad… Time really has diluted our relationships already. Sad though. But what to do…

Ok I stop digressing… Miss wansi already… good that she is doing fine, and she liked her course. If she settles down there, it will be a good thing as well. All the best, lady~ keep us updated in ur blog *o*
